Our Run 2 Summer event is so much more than a race.
It started with a simple premise: an all-ages charity race to help our founder give athletic shoes to kids who didn’t have the right footwear to run on her cross-country team.
That was in 2012. Now, 12 years later, our fun run events have grown into an all-day affair. With live music, local vendors, activities for kids, and even a car show, there’s truly something for everyone — even if running isn’t your thing.
Of course, running shoes are still an important part of the day. At each fun run event, we raffle off 50 pairs of shoes to participants, including kids nominated to race free of charge via our #GoGood outreach program in local schools.
And funds from race entries — as well as contributions from our generous vendors and sponsors — enable us to support and empower kids in Kootenai County year-round.
